Dzoel lives day to day with no hands or legs, but it doesn’t stop his dream and his love of photography.

Achmad Zulkarnain, known as Dzoel by his friends, was not aware he was different until he was at the age of eight, when kids at his school began teasing him about his unfortunate look.

“I found a big mirror. That was when I realized I’m different from everybody else,” he shared his story to Al Jazeera.

Later on, with support from his family and friends, he regained enough confidence to go back to class, later finishing from high school and having a job running an internet cafe.

“There was a photography shop there. I decided to get a camera on credit. I learned and learned and learned until I became known as a photographer.”

This is his story.

  1. I am really amazed at his expertise due to his limitations he is not easy to complain for the sake of wrestling his profession as a photographer, and produce his best work, even though it is different from most normal people in general, he remains passionate about his profession as a photographer, does not cover the possibility of not being able to work, we should the normal circumstances must be more enthusiastic in carrying out activities

  2. I am very impressed with him, despite the limitations, but he is still passionate about living his life as a photo graper, although it cannot be like a graper photo in general, but if there is intention, effort and enthusiasm, he will become a famous photo graper
